Model PBP are batch process Electro chlorinator systems. Electrochlorinators are very simple to operate and to maintain. In eight hours the Electro chlorinator system produces required quantity of active chlorine. Water is filled in the brine tank and required salt is dissolved. The portable Electrolyzer(in model PBP. DIP) is placed inside a tank. In our PBP model Electrochlorinator the Electrolyzer cell is fixed inside the reaction tank. The power supply is switched on. A special Switch Mode type electronic constant output power supply unit can also be provided. This unit does not get heated up and is lightweight unlike the linear power supply. The power supply panel is provided with a timer that is set at 8 hour or as required. The system stops after the preset time and producing required quantity of sodium hypochlorite. An electronic pump can be provided to dose the hypo. The Electrolyzer can be cleaned easily by dipping it in a mild acid solution.
Electrolyzer:
The Electrolyzer is made of Titanium and coated with noble metals like Platinum, Ruthenium and Iridium, by a specialized process. Model PBP has an electrolyzer, which is fixed to a process tank, adequate for production of Sodium Hypochlorite. The Electrolyzer is provided with Teflon (PTFE) spacers, which is resistant to corrosion by Hypochlorite. Copper cable of the right cross section is provided to carry the required current, without getting heated up. Periodic cleaning of the Electrolyzer with a mild acid solution will prolong the life of the Electrolyzer and improve production of Sodium Hypochlorite.
Control Module
An accurate and a high quality transformer/rectifier are used to provide the required low-voltage DC power for the Electrolyzer. This is housed in a well ventilated enclosure.

The Control Module coverts the input voltage of 110/230 /440 V AC 50 Hz to the required DC voltage.

We offer the reliable and time-tested Linear Type Power Supply along with voltmeter, ammeter and timer.

We also offer accurate, latest technology, Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS). It is light weight ( only 7 Kgs as compared to 70 Kgs. of the Linear Type ), does not generate heat and has constant output even with fluctuating input. Control Module is provided with a timer control, which will shut off the system after the pre set time.
Process Tank
Process Tank is made of Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) using Vinyl Ester resin that is not only resistant to Chlorine but also capable of withstanding the heat generated during the process of electrolysis of salt water. The tank is gel coated with and has a smooth external finish in a pleasing colour.

Electrochlorinator for Continuous Production With Fresh Water

Our Electrochlorinator Model PCP is a Continuous production system. Electro chlorinator contains all the equipment required for continuous production of 0.6 to 0.8% Sodium Hypochlorite. Fresh water flowing through a Rotameter into the Electrolyzer chamber. Brine from Brine Tank is pumped through a metering pump and is injected into the pipe carrying fresh water. In the Electrolyzer chamber, the salt solution gets converted to Sodium Hypochlorite and fills into storage tank. The entire process in the Electro chlorinator is automatic with multiple interlock. Fresh water inlet line is provided with a Solenoid Valve that opens when the process is switched on and closes when the hypo storage tank is full. A temperature sensor is also provided in the Electrolyzer, if the temperature of Sodium Hypochlorite produced, exceeds the preset temperature limit, sodium hypochlorite generator switches itself off giving a cooling off period for the Electrolyzer. Once the temperature comes below the preset temperature, sodiumhypochloritegenerator automatically switches on. This preserves the life of the Electrolyzer.

A level switch provided in the Hypochlorite storage tank does not allow the production of Hypochlorite once the storage tank is full. It automatically switches sodium hypochlorite generator on when the level in storage tank is reduced. A metering pump is provided in the storage tank to dose Sodium Hypochlorite into the process.

A cooling chamber is connected to the Electrolyzer to cool the Sodium Hypochlorite produced. The cooling chamber has a titanium coil housed in a FRP chamber and connected to cooling water. The storage tank has an arrangement to vent out the Hydrogen produced during the generation process with the help of a forced draft fan and vent pipe.

On prolonged use, Calcium And Magnesium salts deposit on the plates of the Electrolyzer. To remove this deposit the cell has to be cleaned periodically, if the feed water is hard, with mild acid solution. An Acid cleaning system can be provided if required.

Electro Chlorinator for Continuous Production with Sea Water

The working process of Sea Water Electrochlorinators are similar to synthetic brine Electrochlorinator, except for the following:
  1. Sea water Electrochlorinators are not provided with salt saturation Tank and metering pump for pumping concentrated brine.
  2. The design and size of the Electrolyzer cell are made to take the high velocity of the sea water passing through it.
  3. The chlorine concentration in the Sodium Hypochlorite shall be 0.2%.
